Laval Hospital takes a step toward energy independence with two photovoltaic canopies installed on its parking lot, funded through citizen investment. With a capacity of 300 kWp, these installations will generate 331,000 kWh per year—covering 5% of the hospital’s electricity needs. 🌍🔋
Énergie Partagée, the leading network for citizen-led energy transition in France, supports this innovative project alongside Énergie Mayenne and See You Sun, through a citizen-funded model. This initiative is one of 21 planned solar sites in Mayenne, with a total investment of €6.8 million, open to individuals who want to invest in local and sustainable energy. 💪
This shared governance model allows citizens to become co-actors in the energy transition by directly contributing to local renewable energy production. A great example of how collective mobilization can speed up the shift toward sustainable energy autonomy!
