Eighteen years were needed to see the new forms and the new face of the Pont d’Issy emerge. In Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine), this riverside district marks the culmination of a long-term urban project led by AXA IM Alts, investor, and the developer Sefri-Cime.
Launched in 2007, an international competition for the redevelopment of this former industrial site was won by urban planner and architect Françoise Raynaud, co-founder of the agency LOCI ANIMA (Latin for “the soul of the place”). She recounts its history and the choices made in the project through a guided tour and a newly published book, “Le Pont d’Issy, la reconquête des berges de Seine” (The Pont d’Issy, the Reconquest of the Seine Riverbanks).
