EXTENDAM’s latest monthly barometer highlights the remarkable vitality of the French hotel industry. The sector has surpassed its own records, including those from the historic year 2023. With a notable increase in the occupancy rate (+2 points to 64%) and a rise in the average price (+3% to €115), RevPAR has climbed to €73, an increase of +7 points. This dynamic has been observed both in Île-de-France and regionally.

“After a relatively calm start to the year, hotel performances shone brightly in March, even surpassing the previous year’s peak figures. This is partly due to the shift of school holidays to April this year,” says Vianney Lautrous, asset management coordinator of the barometer at EXTENDAM. Although April shows a slight decline, optimism is high for the coming months, particularly with the opening of reservations for the high season.

These performances also attract investors, with nearly one billion euros already invested in the first quarter of 2024, making the French hotel sector the most performant asset class.

In summary, French hotel performances in March 2024 not only reflect the sector’s vitality but also its ability to attract both travelers and investors, promising bright prospects for the future.

2023 was exceptional for Énergie Partagée with a threefold increase in investments in citizen renewable energy projects compared to 2022. The pioneering movement of citizen renewable energies announced a total raise of 40 million euros, invested in 135 green energy production projects across France!

In the heart of Paris’s 10th arrondissement, history is being written through renovation and innovation with QG 206 Lafayette, a symbol of architectural heritage preservation.

REDMAN, DATA ARCHITECTES, and THINK TANK architecture have masterfully risen to the challenge. Thanks to their bold vision and flawless expertise, nine buildings from different eras are being reimagined, showcasing the historical richness of the capital.

Wooden panels, concrete frameworks, metal structures… every element is meticulously preserved and highlighted, adhering to the highest standards. Behind each restored façade is a story, a craft.

This urban adventure is also a story of strong partnerships and fruitful collaborations. Led by REDMAN, the project mobilized a whole team of experts, from architecture to construction, and engineering.

Organized by Énergie Partagée with support from ADEME and the City of Marseille, the new edition of the National Meetings of Citizen Energy will take place on Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24 in Marseille.

These meetings provide a privileged space for sharing experiences and best practices among those involved in citizen energy projects, financial actors, local elected officials, and communities!

The event will feature a series of workshops, conferences and roundtables led by sector experts. Site visits are also planned.

EXTENDAM becomes the owner of the Mercure Den Haag Central, a 159-room 4-star hotel located in the heart of The Hague. The establishment, which has not been renovated since 2007, will undergo ambitious transformation works to improve its environmental performances while benefiting from a total repositioning with a lifestyle offer, open to its neighborhood.

The hotel will be operated by Capital Hospitality Europe (CHE), a longstanding partner of EXTENDAM, through an Asset Management contract.
