Following a call for expressions of interest launched by the City of Arles, the REDMAN – VESTIA GROUPE consortium has been selected to transform the 6-hectare Minimes brownfield site into an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable urban neighborhood.
Temporarily named Mix-Cité, this project is shaping up to be an open-air laboratory, blending housing, employment, culture, urban agriculture, soft mobility, and decarbonized energy.
🔹 An emblematic territory: where culture, biodiversity, and climate resilience intersect
🔹 A committed program: an image and life sciences campus, a media hub, housing for all, an agricultural park, shared spaces
🔹 A cooperative and evolving approach: co-construction with local residents and stakeholders
🔹 A strong environmental commitment: low-carbon design, water recovery, integrated biodiversity, targeting Mediterranean certification labels
💬 Matthias Navarro and Nicolas Ponson, co-founders of REDMAN, said: “Mix-Cité embodies what we stand for at REDMAN: building meaningful, inclusive projects deeply rooted in their territory. In Arles, we have found an ideal host land, driven by remarkable collective energy”.
