Employers are placing increasing importance on the combination of technical skills and soft skills (behavior and attitude of employees at work). Human aspect has become a crucial, even privileged, element in the recruitment process.
It is interesting to note that some employers are even willing to hire people who do not have all the required technical skills but possess excellent interpersonal qualities. As Pierre-Gilles Bouquet, founder of the recruitment firm Voluntae, points out, “There are people who are not the most technically gifted but make the work more enjoyable”. For him, these skills are “very important,” even though they vary greatly from one person to another.
The recruitment expert also highlights the importance of proactive participation and engagement in the professional environment, which are particularly appreciated by recruiters.
