🌟 The Énergie Partagée Label: A Strengthened Tool for Citizen-Led, Sustainable Renewable Energy 🌟

Since its creation in 2010, the Énergie Partagée Label has been the only certification dedicated to citizen-led renewable energy projects. Known for its high standards, it rewards initiatives that combine:

✅ Local benefit

✅ Community-driven momentum

✅ Shared governance

✅ Ethical and citizen-based finance

✅ Environmental respect

Recently, major collaborative work involving 70 stakeholders (citizens, local authorities, public-private companies, renewable energy developers, etc.) has enhanced the label by adding two new criteria:

🔹 Citizen engagement from the development phase: ensuring that residents are informed and involved to strengthen local governance.

🔹 Support from local authorities: encouraging dialogue with territories to maximize economic and social benefits.

Launched in September 2023, this effort has refined the tools that support 156 labeled (and developing) projects, backed by €48 million invested by over 7,300 committed citizens.

This label is becoming a true compass for accelerating an energy transition rooted in local territories and driven by citizen collectives.
