Organized by Mouvement Impact France, the Universités d’Ete de l’Economie de Demain hold on August 30st in Paris and mobilized more than a thousand people including many experts, economists, business leaders, deputees and ministers! Various debates on sobriety, proposals for measures and actions could emerge with a motto: while climate change exacerbate existing injustices, efforts must be fair to be effective. These efforts, based on the triptych: citizens, state and companies, will be the only possible way to commit to a more sustainable sobriety.

At Nanterre, Origin program is proudly located on the edge of “Les terrasses” neighborhood. Winner of an Icade competition in 2015, it faithfully represents the will of the outsider association represented by Maud Caubet Architects and Quadri Fiore Architecture to propose a contextualized architecture, to meet environmental and social challenges, an architecture that is part of the daily life of users and passers-by, as it appeals to senses and common sense. Annabelle Ledoux told the story of this beautiful project in a book published by Bookstorming – Archistorm.

Whereas the business world is invited to take measures for sobriety, a sector, take the lead on this subject: impact economy. During the Universités d’été de l’Economie de Demain, Mouvement Impact France presented 20 proposals to accelerate transition to sobriety. Among them, 10 rules of sobriety dedicated to the French government:
“Sobriety is not only for getting through winter, but it is blending the global limits of our earth”, explains Caroline Neyron, CEO of Mouvement Impact France.
