Changemakers #13: cycling, a real asset for companies
“For us, cycling is one of the essential conditions for health and well-being at work.”
M.E.V.A, the Employers Movement for Added Bicycle, is an employers’ union which campaigns for all employees to be able to cycle to their workplace, their professional appointments and any other ride linked to their activity in the best possible conditions of safety and pleasure. Hotels: a reassuring stability suggesting a post-vaccination recovery
In February, the French hotel industry once again confirmed its status as European leader, largely outperforming its neighbours with an occupancy rate of 34%. The stability of the hotel sector and the French people’s desire to travel mean that there is still hope for a recovery in the medium term despite the current tensions.
“Although the level of activity in the hotel sector is still very low, it is comforting to see that the indicators are not decreasing. Even more encouraging is the fact that the stock market, which normally predicts trends over a 12 to 18 month horizon, has been very dynamic in the hotel segment for the past few months,” says Vianney Lautrous.

[BONI.D] Solidarity to tackle food insecurity among students
“60% of students who come to the distributions did not need help before the pandemic“.
Deprived of side jobs to make ends meet, more and more students are forced to join the food aid distribution lines. This is an alarming situation that the Ecotable community and Linkee have decided to address. By calling on the citizens’ solidarity, the two associations are rallying their entire network of restaurant owners, chefs and volunteers to provide quality meal baskets to the most destitute students.
Their objective: cook at least 500 meals per week until the end of the university year.
Thanks to donations, 13 weeks have already been financed!
