Two projects by architect Maud Caubet in the magazine Grand Paris Développement
LiVE and Les Lumières Pleyel, the smallest and largest sites of Inventing Greater Paris call for innovative projects are featured in the magazine Grand Paris Développement. Inventory of the hotel industry: the latest update on the effect of the second Covid-19 wave on the sector
The latest health measures in France and worldwide have certainly had a smaller impact impact on the hotel industry in France than the the first lockdown but have nevertheless led to the closure of 30% of hotels. The budget and economic ranges showed once again a great resilience with occupancy rates above 40% in regions and the potential arrival of a vaccine are very positive signs. “This year, we will invest as much as in 2019”
Jean-Marc Palhon the Chairman of EXTENDAM was recently interviewed by Jean-Denis Errard on the state of hotel investment market. Despite a stressful economic climate, he explains the resilience of the invesment ground of the management company (low budget and mid-range hotels for corporate clients) and the relevance of its strategy consisting in acquiring walls and business assets.
His advice: “beware of the magnifying glass effect and take a step back”. EXTENDAM will indeed be able to capture the interesting entry points into this buoyant long-term market over the coming months. “This year we will invest as much as in 2019, but with an additional requirement to remunerate the uncertainty”.
