Built on a former industrial wasteland, the Mallemort citizen solar park was officially inaugurated by the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, CVE, and Énergie Partagée. This project exemplifies a model of green, local, and collectively governed energy production.
🔋 2.6 MWp installed capacity
🏡 4,150 MWh produced annually, equivalent to the consumption of 3,600 residents
🌱 70 tons of CO₂ avoided each year
At the heart of the project: shared governance and strong community involvement, made possible by Énergie Partagée’s investment and the commitment of the local cooperative Sur le toit des Alpilles.
📣 “The Mallemort park has received the Énergie Partagée label, the only quality certification in the renewable energy sector,” explains Sylvain Gombert, Investment Manager at Énergie Partagée.
The project also includes an ambitious educational component: an educational pathway co-created with local students, school visits, and an annual €6,000 budget to fund local initiatives for 30 years.
