The 1st report by La Fabrique du Tourisme for sustainable tourism is released
“A real collective game has been set up within La Fabrique du Tourisme to make progress together on sustainable tourism ground“, Franck Gervais, La Fabrique du Tourisme’s 1st session ambassador.
In October 2020, tourism professionals, sustainable development experts, students and solidarity entrepreneurs met for the first working session of La Fabrique du Tourisme, aiming to think concretely about tomorrow’s tourism and to accelerate the sector’s transition to sustainability and CSR. Proposing 11 concrete mesures declined in 9 practical sheets, this first report gives the keys of understanding on the evolution of a sector in major mutation. It was recently introduced in partnership with Smart Impact TV program (B Smart).

Hotels: moderate but steady growth before a stronger rebound expected in May
In a context that remains tense, March was the month of hotel reopenings and steadily occupancy rates increasing in Europe. Indeed, European opening rate is close to 80%. Although recording a more moderate increase, France maintained its position as European leader with 34% occupancy. Global vaccination campaigns’ progress should reinforce these trends before a rebound we hope more significant at the end of May thanks to the recovery plan for the restaurant industry.

Players of the Greater Paris’ new face are in Traits Urbains magazine
In March/April issue, Traits Urbains devotes a dossier to the 89 projects that are shaping the new face of the Greater Paris. Among them, Les Lumières Pleyel stands as a major project. It is signed by a group of 7 architects: Snohetta, Maud Caubet, Ateliers 2/3/4, Baumschlager Eberle, Chaix & Morel, Moreau Kusunoki and Mars Architects. Deployed by Sogelym Dixence, this ambitious project mixes offices, housing, culture, nature, sport and an ingenious bridge-building that will allow to cross the railway tracks.

The members of M.E.V.A. are committed to discussing with public authorities the development of infrastructures dedicated to the safety of cyclists and systems that encourage the use of soft mobility in professional contexts.
