A new eco-district for Bordeaux

Designed in 2006, the Ginko eco-district is laying its last stone in Bordeaux. On 32 hectare, Ginko is a succession of heterogeneous blocks with collective and individual housing, silo parking lots with shared hanging gardens and shops on the ground floor.

 

This eco-district will be extended with the Noème operation, reproducing the qualities of its predecessor by improving them. Composed of nine blocks, including one block entrusted to Maud Caubet Architects, the work will begin in November.

At 57 years old, Jean-Marc Palhon drives the investment company EXTENDAM and owns a portfolio of 259 establishments in France and Europe. Julie Le Bolzer went to meet him for Les Echos, resulting to a portrait faithful to the convictions of this man of numbers and words.

 

Born in the South of France and then moved to Paris, Jean-Marc Palhon defines himself as a “man of mission”. He is committed to weaving the future of the hotel industry, in particular by adapting its hotels to new uses and current challenges, whether they are environmental or social.

COP26: when employees join forces with committed managers

Today, groups of employees and managers committed to ecological and social transition are meeting at the COP26 to transform businesses.

 

For the occasion, Mouvement Impact France, carrying the voices of 7,500 leaders and entrepreneurs committed to ecological and social transition, has joined forces with Les Collectifs, a network of employee collectives mobilized for ecology.

 

“The leaders have the strategic vision, the employees have the vision of the field. We must encourage them to bring it up” explains Eva Sadoun, chairwoman of Mouvement Impact France.
