CVE and Énergie Partagée inaugurate the Mallemort citizen solar park

Developed on a former landfill by the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, the Mallemort photovoltaic park embodies a local, sustainable and cooperative energy transition model.

 

Alongside the project developer CVE, Énergie Partagée helped turn the project into a collective and ethical success:

✔ Community consultation workshops since 2019

✔ Capital investment in the project company

✔ Upcoming local fundraising campaign

✔ Énergie Partagée Label awarded — the only distinction in the sector dedicated to citizen projects

 

Sylvain Gombert, investment manager at Énergie Partagée, explained: “Thanks to our 7,500 citizen shareholders, Énergie Partagée was able to invest €135,000 in this project and will contribute to its local impact through the local energy cooperative ‘Sur le Toit des Alpilles’”.

🌞 Saint-Étienne Métropole accelerates energy transition with Énergies Stéphanoises

Five new solar installations were commissioned this summer by the public and citizen-owned company Énergies Stéphanoises, bringing the total number of operational solar sites in the area to six. This local momentum reflects a strong ambition for citizen control over energy.

 

🔋 1,300 MWh/year produced — equivalent to the electricity use of 1,080 people

🤝 A cooperative and partnership-based model involving local governments, citizens, and companies

🏷️ A project awarded by Énergie Partagée label — a mark of virtuous and democratic renewable energy development
