The legendary La Pérouse hotel joins the EXTENDAM portfolio

An iconic establishment in Nice, the La Pérouse hotel is now part of the EXTENDAM portfolio, which takes 70% of its capital. The remainder is taken over by Catella Hospitality Europe and Cèdre financial investors. Overlooking the Mediterranean, this 4* boutique hotel in the Angel’s Bay will be repositioned as a luxury boutique hotel and will undergo refurbishment work by an internationally renowned interior designer.

[BONI.D] Repulp design: from the pulp to the object!

Founded by Victoria Lièvre, designer graduated from the Marseille Mediterranean School of Art and Design, and Luc Fischer, from a business school, Repulp designs and manufactures a range of everyday objects made from orange skins and other citrus fruits. The two partners thus offer another way of producing and mark a new step towards a zero-waste world.

 

Based in Marseille, Repulp sources its supplies from the region’s fruit juice extraction food industry to provide this great alternative to materials derived from petrochemicals. Biobased and recyclable, Repulp products are beautiful, sustainable and compostable at the same time!

An application for each waste of the building sector

Architect by training, Marius Hamelot is determined to take action to face environmental issues. With two classmates from the National School of Architecture of Versailles, he invented Le Pavé®, the first material made from plastic waste recovered from nature and oceans.

Collectives of committed leaders and employees unite at the COP26

The Mouvement Impact France, a French network of entrepreneurs and managers gathered around ecological and social transformation, allies with the Collectives, a federation bringing together thirty employee groups committed to the ecological transition. Their objectives consist in transforming companies and initiating a new commitment model, bringing together employees and managers.

 

Gathered for a conference at the COP26, the networks wish to bring a common voice in order to create synergies to change businesses from within.

Hotel Babel opens its doors in Belleville

Four years ago, EXTENDAM invested alongside Joris Bruneel in an unranked Hipotel in Belleville. After transforming the establishment into a 3-star hotel with 31 rooms and a restaurant with 70 seats, the Hotel Babel opened its doors four years later in Belleville.

 

Attractive and unique, this hotel, which actively contributes to the life of a rapidly changing Parisian district, traces the lines of a new hotel industry that is attentive to social and environmental realities.

Face Cachée, between sobriety and rich development

Spotlight on Rectoverso Architectes’ Face Cachée project in CFNews Immo. The rehabilitated office building now houses the new Aptiskills headquarters.

 

Located rue Edouard Vaillant in Levallois-Perret, the 2,000 sqm program incorporates the codes of the city’s tertiary architecture through its lacquered aluminium facade. Inside, the building offers six different atmospheres, one per floor.

Impact.gouv, a fuzzy tool that does not help companies transforming themselves? – Interview with Caroline Neyron for Maddyness

Unveiled last May by the government, the impact.gouv platform allows companies to play the game of transparency by publishing their environmental, social and good governance (ESG) data.

 

Caroline Neyron, Managing Director of Mouvement Impact France, deplores the lack of clarity and precise objectives of this tool.

 

For her, the first problem lies in the use of the word “impact” which relates to a high level of commitment from companies, while this tool does not have the criteria of impact. Indeed, it allows to reveal the commitments in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR), which are consistent simply to reduce the negative effects of a company’s activity. Fuzzy notions that require in-depth work in order to offer a better understanding to avoid green and social washing.

 

Furthermore, the optional nature of this platform makes it insufficient. A mandatory tool, in which, for each indicator, an objective and a deadline are set and a score given, is essential for the ecological and social transition of companies.
