Younight Hospitality give a new breath to Hotel Univers at Angers

Ideally located opposite Angers train station, the Hôtel Univers is now under Younight Hospitality’s management.  As part of its repositioning, the hotel will be renovated and will become a place for hospitality, modernity and innovation. His 10-employee team remains on board. Work will start early next year.

“One of our core objectives is to move the hotel upmarket, without necessary aiming to pass it from 2-star to 3-star category. We want to convey a “feel at home”atmosphere and a design that procures a real identity” underlines Romain Gowhari, CEO of Younight Hospitality.

Maud Caubet calls for an ecological, social and poetic architecture

In a column for Archistorm, Maud Caubet calls for reconsidering the profession of architect as a commitment, a lever for environmental and social transition taking into account the existing and the future.

 

To draw as many people into the action, architecture must be thought of as a player in storytelling and poetry. She also recalls the crucial role of architecture teaching to revalorize the profession, to bring it towards more equity and to adopt the new reflexes of consuming less and better without forgetting the logic of an improvement of life.

 

She calls for to be brave and transform the best wishes into action.

Rectoverso architectes, an eclectic agency selected for the special issue of NDA magazine

Selecting a wide variety of agencies in its special issue, NDA magazine paints a portrait of Rectoverso architectes. Multi-subject, the agency works on architecture, graphic design and even interior design projects. A good example is Face Cachée, a sober office restoration project on the outside, full of surprises on the inside. Each floor is bathed in a specific atmosphere: seaside, bohemian chic or even gaming, allowing employees to live a unique experience while navigating between each universe!

This innovative operator is a specialized company in glazings reconditioning, installation/removal of exterior joinery and maintenance of façade openings. Wallglass is committed to ensuring the performance of building facades for: users well-being by capturing light, energy efficiency of buildings thanks to glazed facades reconditioning.

Alexis Morcaut joins Younight Hospitality

Younight Hospitality, young subsidiary of VICARTEM, recruited Alexis Morcaut as head of development and partnerships as part of its overall development strategy. He will work with Aymeric O’Mahony, who helds this position since 2022. Together, they will carry the objectives of about thirty hotels managed by Younight Hospitality by 2030.

The Mouvement Impact France Universités d’été de l’économie de demain were held on August 30th in Paris and mobilized more than a thousand people including many experts, economists, business leaders, deputies and ministers! Various discussions on sobriety, proposals for measures and actions were able to emerge with a watchword: climate change only exacerbates existing injustices, efforts will have to be fair to be effective. These efforts, based on the triptych citizens, State and companies, will make it possible to commit to more sustainable sobriety.

Acquisition of an hotel at Lorient by Extendam

EXTENDAM acquires its first hotel in South of Brittany. The ibis Lorient Gare and it 51 rooms will undergo a major refurbishment program and a new revenue management strategy conducted by Céline Da Mota Filippi, a professional of hospitality since 2012 and happy owner of an hotel she has entirely repositioned in Saint-Brieuc.

“Once the hotel’s refurbishment is complete, the asset should experience a new dynamism and deploy its full potential to reach a cruise rhythm in 2024. Brittany is a region where  leisure and business tourism are chasing a great growth and we are pleased about this second acquisition in the region” guarantee Inès Haack and Bertrand Pullès, in charge of investment for EXTENDAM.

Origin’s project is in Archistorm

At Nanterre, Origin program is proudly located on the edge of “Les terrasses” neighborhood. Winner of an Icade competition in 2015, it faithfully represents the will of the outsider association represented by Maud Caubet Architects and Quadri Fiore Architecture to propose a contextualized architecture, to meet environmental and social challenges, an architecture that is part of the daily life of users and passers-by, as it appeals to senses and common sense. Annabelle Ledoux told the story of this beautiful project in a book published by Bookstorming – Archistorm.
